Final two pandemic-delayed BTO projects completed: HDB

Located throughout New Punggol Road, Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) consists of 1,179 units of two-room flexi, 3-, four- and five-room flats all over six non commercial blocks. Following pandemic problems, the work’s last block was completed one year from its first Probable Completion Date (PCD) at an earlier time this month.

Situated between Serangoon Roadway, Lavender Street and Boon Kheng Road, Kempas Residences BTO project has 583 units of two-room flexi, three-, four-room apartments throughout four residential blocks.

As at Jan 15, 657 homes or 59% of 1,109 reserved units have gotten their keys.

At the moment, 110 HDB housing jobs are under development, up from 95 a year ago due to the increase in BTO supply in recent years. HDB says it is on track to complete around 17,000 condos throughout 27 ventures in 2025.

The final block, that was postponed by six months from its original PCD, was completed in mid-January.

Apartment proprietors of Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) have been receiving the keys to their new house ever since November 2024, while key collection for Kempas Residence commenced in mid-January this year.

As at Jan 15, 37 households or about 7% of 555 reserved units have collected their keys.

The remaining ventures had waiting times of as much as 5 years. Overall, over 18,000 flats were completed in 2024, says HDB.

The two Build-to-Order (BTO) jobs, Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) and Kempas Residences, observe the completion of HDB’s pandemic-delayed real estate projects. As a whole, the 92 projects have supplied over 75,800 new condos to Singaporeans over the last 5 years.

Minister for National Development Desmond Lee has released the completion of the last 2 pandemic-delayed projects from HDB, according to a Jan 20 launch.

HDB is anticipated to alert the waiting flat proprietors of their key collection date soon, following the finish of the final blocks within both projects this month.

In 2024, HDB completed a sum of 22 home properties, 17 of which were delayed by the pandemic. With the exemption of one that was postponed due to non-pandemic factors, the standing 4 home plans were accomplished on time.

The 22 housing projects consisted of 2 Shorter Waiting Time (SWT) projects, that were completed within a waiting duration of much less than 3 years. The SWT plans, Parc Glen at Tengah and Grove Spring at Yishun, made up a total of 1,995 condos.

According to HDB, the conclusion of Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) denotes the conclusion of all flats in the Punggol Point District. This includes Punggol Point Cove (Stage 1), Punggol Point Woods and Punggol Point Crown BTO ventures, which were completed in 2024.
