Hyatt to debut Alila brand in Japan with Hakone mountain retreat
Hyatt Hotels has already publicized an arrangement with Fujita Corp to establish Alila Sengokuhara Hakone– put in the area of Sengokuhara in the mountainous location of Hakone– noting the Alila brand’s first property in Japan. The property is set to open up in 2028.
Positioned within the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, Alila Sengokuhara Hakone stands in a location understood for its seasonal appeal, art galleries, volcanic terrain, and panoramic scenery towards Mount Kintoki.
Centred on the restorative tradition of Japanese onsens, the building provides 60 guestrooms, featuring 11 suites, that featured a personal natural warm spring bath each.
“We prepare for Alila Sengokuhara Hakone coming to be a new standard for high-end hotels in Japan,” states Yoji Okumura, president of Fujita Corp.
When it comes to eating, Alila Sengokuhara Hakone’s restaurant and bar will patronize nearby sourced, seasonal ingredients from nearby areas, woodlands and seas– aligning with the brand’s dedication to cooking experiences rooted in their setting. The food selections will include flavours of the community, connecting guests with its active ingredients to Hakone and the wider Japanese scenery.
The resort’s other highlights consist of a yoga patio bordered by the all-natural surroundings, delivering visitors a serene room to inhale, stretch and reconnect. The hotel will also offer curated Alila Moments– trademark encounters that enable visitors to submerse themselves in Hakone’s customs and lifestyle past a traditional resort stay.
The resort is developed to mix into the natural surroundings, with Japanese firm Kengo Kuma and Associates designated as the project’s architect.
The resort will sign up with a global portfolio of 19 existing Alila commercial properties, including 13 throughout Asia. The label’s intro in Japan will bring Hyatt’s Japan accounts to 10 brand names.
