How Gen Z consumers and the ‘trust economy’ are changing the mall experience
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong presided the function, providing the Champion of Good awards, while Senior Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, and Trade and Market Low Yen Ling presented the Firm of Good– 3 Hearts awards.
This year’s cohort consists of 177 Company of Good– 1 Heart receivers, among them Colliers, Fraxtor, Craig Road Property, Ngee Koon, and Momentus Hotel Alexandra.
Meanwhile, 63 organisations were given the Champion of Good honor– the top tier of the recognition system– including Kuok (Singapore), Lendlease Global Commercial Trust Management, Mapletree Investments and TS Team.
Another 113 business got the Company of Good– 3 Hearts recognition, consisting of 8M Property, Banyan Tree Holdings, Far East Orchard, OUE REIT Management and Savills (Singapore).
The statement was made at NVPC’s Company of Good Conference and Conferment held on July 20 at Fairmont Singapore, which in turn saw around 700 business managers got together.
An overall of 481 services were identified as Business of Good by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) this year, as the initiative marked its 10th commemoration. The recognition honours companies that create favorable social influence in Singapore.
Over the last 3 years, 1,046 identified Companies of Good have jointly contributed close to $384 million in funds donations, more than $85 million in contributions in-kind, and over 1.1 million volunteer hours.
Small and medium-sized enterprises accounted for most of recipients, making up 376 organizations, or 78% of the total amount.
“10 years on, Company of Good has actually presented that Business Purpose is increasingly becoming an important part of how organisations develop worth for their stakeholders and the broader society,” states Tony Soh, PRESIDENT, NVPC.
“As we look in advance, NVPC is going to concentrate on enhancing the community of Firms of Good and enabling organisations to learn from one another, collaborate throughout companies and industries and develop influence with each other,” adds Soh.
